Since Atomos started 4 years ago we’ve been on a steady growth pattern, but the previous 12-18 months have been huge for us.
With that in mind a little over 12 months ago we brought David Ball to Atomos and we have to say he’s proven to be an exceptional appointment. Dave has a wealth of experience. Since graduating from Staffordshire University with a Bachelor of Science with honours (BSc (Hons)) in Music Technology he has worked both in the air conditioning industry as a technical sales engineer and in the music industry as a live sound technician. In 2016 Dave moved into ICT and joined Fujitsu as a customer service technician and after almost a year we brought into the fold here at Atomos. Dave is originally from Milton Keynes, but has assured us that we don’t need to hold this against him as his visas and inoculations are all up to date. He’s focusing on developing his skills in networking and is working towards his Cisco certificates, as well as being the primary voice of our technical support team.
We are also pleased to announce as part of the growth another addition to our team. Lee Barrett joined us in December 2017, he comes to us with almost 30 years sales experience with 20 years in IT. Lee started his sales career selling used cars but he has assured us that the surgery to remove the sharks fin was successful. The experience that Lee brings to the team as our Business Development Manager suits Atomos perfectly with huge experience in Networking and Infrastructure and especially connectivity and WAN solutions. Lee admitted that it was going to be a steep learning curve for him after taking an 18 month sabbatical to look after a trouble teenager that he and his wife fostered; after nurturing the young man to a point where he qualified from college and is now living in his own place and working full time Lee felt it was time to get back to work. We’re really pleased to have Lee with us and he’s proved to be great asset already.

Analysis
Protecting your network from cyberthreats may seem completely obvious in this day and age. However, it's all too easy to assume that you have the right level of network security, when in fact you do not. This is why we always begin with a thorough assessment, providing a full audit of your existing cyberthreat measures. We then deifne the network areas, servers - and of course individual users that need protection - and at what level.
IT Equipment Removal
Our office move team will dovetail all activity with your own plans - ensuring that your network is running right up to the last minute; providing interim network services wherever possible. We ensure that all works are carried out efficiently and painlessly - stripping all reusable network equipment before reinstalling it in your new space. We believe in equipment sustainability wherever possible. As such, we carefully consider what equipment is still fit for purpose within your new network environment - managing the heavy lifting element to this part of the office move process.
Network Audits
We can perform a network checkup on your current network infrastructure. This includes throughput analysis, an assessment of any potential hardware limitations and floor port fluke tests future growth. We then consider the best options for future-proofing the new network as best as possible.
